Andrea Ferrero is Professor of Economics at the University of Oxford and the Levine Fellow in Economics at Trinity College, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate macroeconomics. Before Oxford he spent seven years in the research department of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, first as an Economist and then as a Senior Economist, and he currently serves as an academic consultant to the Bank of England.
His research spans monetary economics and international macroeconomics, from policy options in a currency union to the macroeconomic impact of unconventional central bank policy, and has been published in journals including the American Economic Review and the Journal of Monetary Economics. He holds a PhD in Economics from New York University and won the 2010 CEPR/ESI prize for the best central bank research paper.
