Visiting Senior Research Fellow, Department of War Studies, King's College London
Hugo Rosemont is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Defence Studies within the Department of War Studies at King's College London, and Vice Chair of RISC, the UK security and resilience industry suppliers' community, where he served as Acting Chair throughout 2025. From 2022 to 2024 he was an original member of the Police Science Council, formed under the National Police Chiefs' Council.
His career bridges government, industry and academia: he has been Principal for Defence, National Security and Public Safety Policy at Amazon Web Services, Director of Policy and Public Affairs at KBR, Director of Security and Resilience at ADS, and a security executive on the winning London 2012 Olympic bid team. He holds a PhD from King's College London on the private sector's role in UK counter-terrorism strategy after 9/11.
